DN2 Growth Hub

The D2N2 Growth Hub provides a one stop shop for business with one to one and small group business advice including grants, workshops, and signposting to other quality support services helping business find a way to grow with services that best suit their needs. The D2N2 Growth Hub, part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, local authorities, and other public funding  provides up-to-date, valuable and relevant information, guidance and support.

The Big House

The Big House is a tailored business support programme for the Creative and Digital Industries (CDI) sector in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, Derby and Derbyshire, part funded by the European Regional Development Fund. The Big House programme has already helped many creative and digital entrepreneurs and small businesses to move to the next level. 

Invest in D2N2

For businesses looking to invest, to relocate or expand their business in Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Invest in D2N2, part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, has compelling support packages.

DN Metro Biodiversity Action

Part of a longer-term programme to open up, restore and connect green/blue spaces across Nottingham, this project supports greater biodiversity as well as improving access for people to nature sites and making Nottingham a more attractive places for businesses to locate and people to live and work. The project is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

ARC (Accelerating reduction in Carbon) (Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Energy Grants)

Supported by the European Regional Development Fund, ARC helps businesses save costs on their energy. It offers local businesses free energy audits and grants towards measures that will improve the energy efficiency of their businesses. Interested small or medium-sized businesses in wider Nottingham should click through to the page on the link above.

Community and Family Learning

Funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency. The Community & Family Learning project supports Nottingham City Council’s commitment to reduce unemployment, and aspiration to increase the skills levels of Nottingham residents. It engages individuals who have low, or no formal qualifications, are under skilled or are furthest away from the labour market offering a range of learning packages to reengage them with learning. Improving personal confidence for parents and children, gaining the skills to prepare for work.

Funding by the UK Government this innovative programme helps people in and out of work improve their numeracy skills aiming to help them budget better and improve skills so that they can get a job or a better job.

UK Shared Prosperity Scheme (UKSPF)

Funded by the UK Government this programme has three aims 1. Improving communities through physical infrastructure  and support for local initiatives. 2. Supporting businesses to grow and become more productive 3. Working with people to move them closer to work.

Nottingham Works 4 You

Funded by the European social Fund Nottingham Works 4 You offers various activities to support young people aged 16 to 24, who are not in education, employment or training (NEET).

Way2Work

Funded by the European Social Fund Way2Work is especially for people who are facing personal and economic barriers to finding a job such as lack of basic maths and language skills, or people with disabilities or health conditions which have a long-term and significant impact on their daily lives. It targets single parent families, people from BAME Communities and people aged over 50.

Back2Work

Funded by the European Social Fund Back2Work is an employment recovery programme, providing targeted and early intervention employment support to individuals across the D2N2 region whose employment status has been directly affected by the Coronavirus pandemic

Pathways to Health & Social Care

Funded by the European Social Fund, the Pathways to Health & Social Care project supports people living in Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire (D2N2) who are looking for work, or are interested in training and working in the Health and Social Care sector.

D2N2 Skills Access Hub

Funded by the European social Fund the D2N2 Skills Access Hub offers fully-funded skills advice and support to small and medium sized businesses based across the D2N2 area. Businesses can access fully funded impartial advice from experienced skills advisers to address current and future skills gaps. The dedicated team of skills advisers work with businesses on a one-to-one basis, to scope out skills needs and explore relevant opportunities.

Deep Retrofit Energy Model (DREEM)

Funded by the European Regional Development Fund and working with Nottingham City Homes and the Council Carbon reduction and Energy Services team DREEM is creating warm homes for Nottingham residents in areas o multiple disadvantage through retrofitting homes.

Nottingham Jobs

Nottingham Jobs is the overarching brand for projects that work with people to get jobs and training, and with and businesses to create jobs. In addition to the above funded programmes we also work with major construction projects across the city using S106 funding to help them recruit local people to their local vacancies.

Changing Places Toilets

Funded by the Department of Levelling Up Housing and Communities Changing Places Toilets are larger than normal disabled toilet spaces designed for people with multiple disadvantages so that they along with their carer can go to the toilet whilst outside their home. This project will build three new ones (we already have several across the city) in two visitor attractions and one community leisure centre.
